Then one of our members will be happy to accompany you to your hotel in town.
Antananarivo to Andasibe
The RN2 is the main thread of this winding route that links the capital to Toamasina, Madagascar's main commercial port. Lush landscapes are waiting for you and even beautiful as you approach the coast. It passes through very interesting nature reserves.
National Parc Mantadia
The park actually includes the Indri-indri special reserve. The reserve is indeed famous for its powerful and impressively large colonies of indris. The park is also known for its orchid varieties that thrive in the forest.
Andasibe to Ankanin'ny Nofy
By car and boat
Let's talk a little bit about the Pangalane Canal: If the walks on this canal are still very expensive, they are very beautiful.
The Pangalane Canal is a unique universe, an aquatic mirror strewn with "elephant ears" and ravinala, traversed by silent canoes, freight barges, fishermen in brackish water and leading to forests and villages full of secrets.
The Palmarium reserve, known as Ankanin'ny Nofy (The Dream Nest) located on the east coast of Madagascar, located on 50 hectares bordering Lake Ampitabe and the Indian Ocean on the Pangalanes Canal, accessible only by boat. About ten species of lemurs evolving in complete freedom in the reserve, Indri, Sifaka, Coronatus, Varécia, variegata, Propithecus. A rare and endemic terrestrial and arboricultural fauna as well as a magnificent flora (orchids, carnivorous plants, ebony, mahogany, traveller's trees)... the most beautiful palm trees specific to Madagascar, including the rarest varieties (Dypsis, Ravenea, Orania, but also Voanioala and Lemurophoenix).
Tranfert to Toamasina
Officially opened to navigation on September 1, 1901, the Pangalane Canal became a 654 km long waterway extending from Foulpointe to Farafangana.
A short break
Located on the eastern coast of Madagascar, 357 km from Tananarive by road, Tamatave is the first port in Madagascar of the island. An ocean gate providing 50% of the national port traffic and through which products are exported from a rich but outlying hinterland. Tamatave is the result of a story full of events of importance but above all a courageous struggle of the populations whose tenacity has overwhelmed the difficulties and climatic hazards to make the city a modern city with a welcoming face.
Toamasina to Mahambo
Mahambo is located about 86km from Toamasina. With a beach opening onto a bay and lagoon, it is surrounded by more vegetation than previous cities.
This is where we have to go for our last crossing of the circuit to come to Sainte Marie Island, a breathtaking seaside resort.
Transfert to Sainte Marie
Take full advantage of this short 3-hour trip by catamaran to transport you to this paradisiac island. You will sail on a new boat equipped with high-tech navigation equipment with optimal conditions of safety and comfort.
An authentic place still preserved from mass tourism, Île Sainte Marie is a true haven of peace. It is highly appreciated by the inhabitants of the capital due to its proximity and its idyllic setting composed of paradisiacal beaches and fishing villages. You can enjoy the calm and tranquility of its surroundings for an unforgettable trip.
Also called Nosy Boraha, Sainte Marie Island is a very popular destination in Madagascar.
Located in the northeast of Madagascar, Sainte Marie Island is a tropical paradise 60 km long and 5 km wide. A former pirate's lair, it has lush vegetation and quality underwater bottoms. Indeed, the island's lagoon has important coral constructions that allow it to have a preserved natural heritage.
